Description:
Empax is seeking a talented and experienced junior graphic designer with knowledge in print, web and interactive design. You will help form part of our creative design team, which provides a full range of branding and design services to nonprofit organizations and other social and politically active groups.
We’re looking for someone who has a fresh approach to design and understands that nonprofits need to look just as good, if not better than commercial players. We’re looking for someone who is comfortable in many different situations – from working with a lot of instruction to working with the bare minimum. We’re also looking for a great sense of humor, an imagination and an interest (and some knowledge) in the latest technical advances and in cutting edge design theories and practices.
Requirements:
3+years experience designing.
Knowledge of design web standards
Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Java Script
Expertise in Adobe CS2 Suite
Knowledge of Flash (ACTION SCRIPTING a PLUS!)
Ability to design for Content Management Systems – or to pick it up fairly quickly
Experience designing for print – logos, stationary, posters, brochures, Advertisements, etc.
Experience working with programmers is also REQUIRED!
You MUST be able to work on site in our office in NYC , available 2-3 days a week and willing to be paid for your hard work.
